Frequently Asked

How much is it to visit the cats?

To hang in the Cat Lounge during regular hours, it is $8 for 50 minutes or $5 for 30 minutes (Available for Walk-Ins). This rate is per person. Reservations can only be taken for 50 minute bookings. Event prices vary and are listed on the booking page for each cooresponding event. Event bookings must be made online. If you have difficulty with booking, please call us at (716) 322-7358.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are not required but they are highly recommended. Our space can only accomodate 15 people so making a reservation in advanced will ensure you do not come during a time we are either at capacity, holding an event or hosting a private party. We are unable to take walk-ins during the hours these events are scheduled. To avoid inconvenience, book a reservation online by visiting to ensure that you can come in on the day and during the time desired. If you have difficulty making an online reservation, please give us a call at (716) 322-7358 and we will be happy to assist you. (A Credit Card will be required to hold the reservation for you)

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome all the time! Please keep an eye on your children to ensure that they are following the Cat Lounge rules in place that help keep our kitties safe. Children must be supervised at all times and cannot be left unattended. Children 14 years or younger are required to have an adult with them during their visit. Anyone who is unable to follow the rules or anyone who creates a destructive or unpleasant experience for other patrons will be asked by staff to leave without a refund.

Where do you get your cats from?

We work with a couple of area rescues including E.A.R.S. based out of Salamanca and Pumpkin's Patch based out of Buffalo. Many of our cats are either rescued as strays, transported from overcrowded, high-kill shelters, or are surrenderd personal pets. We do our very best to providing a comfortable and loving environment until they are able to be adopted.
We do not take cats directly into the cafe as cats need to be vetted and processed prior to being deemed adoption ready.

Do you have cats for adoption?

Yes! Typically, we have 10-15 cats in the Cat Lounge. The cats are adoptable cats through the rescue partners we work with.

What are the rules of the Cat Lounge?

1.) Please treat our cats with respect. This is their house and you are guests! Please refrain from any interaction or behavior that may make our cats feel uncomfortable or threatened. 2.) Please keep your personal pets at home. We will provide all the kitties you will need to enjoy your time here in the Cat Lounge. 3.) When entering the café, please do not linger in doorways. We want to ensure that one door is closed before opening another to prevent any potential escapees. 4.) We ask all of our visitors to remove their shoes to avoid stepping on any kitties that may get under foot. Slippers are available for purchase. Visitors are also welcome to go barefoot or in their socks or bring slippers from home! 5.) Please do not feed any food or beverage to the cats. All drinks must have a lid and food must be attended to. They may beg and plead but we promise you, our cats are well fed! 6.) Our cats have great hearing and can potentially get easily spooked from loud noises. Please use your inside voice in the Cat Lounge. 7.) Please do not assume that the cats like being picked up. We encourage visitors to sit on the floor or in a chair where cats can climb up on your lap as opposed to picking them up. 8.) No outside food and drink is permitted into the Cat Lounge for the safety of our cats. 9.) Visitors are welcome to take photos of our cats and the space. Please just make sure your flash is turned off to not startle the cats! 10.) We ask that parents supervise their children at all times. Please ensure that kids are not chasing the cats, misusing the toys or cat wands, and are not picking the cats up. 11.) Watch for any warning signs if a cat seems irritated. We have strangers coming in and out all hours of the day. Sometimes our kitties need a break. If you notice these signs, please leave them be. 12.) Anyone who does not follow these rules will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund for their paid hour.

Why do I have to sign a waiver?

Waivers are in place in order to ensure the safety of all of our patrons and cafe cats. These waivers are to help patrons understand that there are rules in place to ensure all interactions in the lounge are appropriate and pleasant. This includes offering a reminder that though our cats are friendly and social, they do have teeth and claws they may used if provoked and thus why we enforce certain rules to be followed during your visit to the Cat Lounge. Waivers only have to be filled out once per patron. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Are all of your cats Spay/Neutered and Vaccinated?

Yes! All of the cats in our cafe are fully vetted. This means all of our cats are spayed/neutered, vacccinated for rabies, vaccinated for feline distemper, vaccinated for bordatella, combo tested, flea treated, de-wormed, and up to date on their annual examinations.

What is a Cat Cafe?

A cat cafe is an establishment where people pay a fee to play with and interact with the cats residing at the cafe. Cat cafes were made popular in Japan and quickly started popping up in major cities across Europe and the US and provides a place to eat, drink and enjoy the company of furry companions. Cat Cafes are perfect for those people who live some where that does not allow cats or for people that may not be able to have cats of their own. Cat Cafes are also great for people who would like to expand their circle of cat friends or who just cannot get enough kitty face time! The cafe is a great place to come de-stress from the day or study for an upcoming test or to get in a little lesiurely reading. Whether you are looking for more of a playful cat or a sleepy snuggly cat, we assure you that you will find a special little friend during your visit to our cafe.

How do I contact Purrfect regarding selling artwork?

First, we ask that you submit an artist/artwork form here: Please be sure to include some samples of your artwork for us to review. Once we have a chance to review, we will reach out to you and team up from there! **Please note: We are currently only accepting artists with cat themed or Buffalo themed works.

Can I bring my own cat?

Please keep your kitties at home!
We have plenty of adoptable cats here in the Cat Lounge to enjoy during your visit. Your cat probably wouldn't enjoy the expirence of being put in a carrier, traveling in a car, being put in a new environment around a dozen cat it doesn't know. So please, please, plese keep your cats at home!

I need to surrender a cat. Do you accept cats at your location?

No, we are not able to intake personal surrenders or stray surrenders directly. All surrenders need to go through to a rescue or shelter. If you need recommendations on where to take a surrender, please call us at (716) 322-7358 to discuss further.

Do you accept donations?

Yes! We work with area rescues who are always in need of supplies or monetary donations to keep up with their ongoing needs. Donations can be dropped off right at our cafe! Please call ahead to let us know that you will be stopping in and what you will be donating.

Why do you charge a fee?

Every cat cafe has a small entrance fee to help offset expenses. We are proud to offer a cage-free, comfortable environment for our adoptable cats to reside in until they are able to find their furrever homes. Our admission fee goes towards food, litter and cat items as well as operational costs for us to continue providing a free-roam space for visitors (and cats!) to enjoy. Even if you are looking to adopt a cat, all the adoption fees benefit our rescue partners, where our admission fees helps us stay open to provide this wonderful space to adoptable cats. Potential adopters must spend time with a cat before we can approve an adoption and again, we retain no donation from the adoption fees.

Do you require masks?

We require any unvaccinated patron to wear a mask during their visit. Vaccinated patrons are not required to wear a mask but are welcome to wear one if preferred.
